When you book a chauffeur by the hour in Auckland, you pay a set rate that includes GST and covers the vehicle, driver, and time—no meter running, no surge pricing, and no surprises. The full cost appears before you confirm, so you know exactly what you’re committing to. It’s particularly useful when your schedule isn’t fixed or you need a driver on standby.
What’s included in the hourly rate?
The rate covers your chauffeur’s time, the vehicle you’ve selected—whether that’s the Mercedes E-Class, V-Class, or Sprinter—and all GST. Fuel, tolls, and parking during your booking are handled within that fixed price, so there’s no meter ticking up as you move between Ponsonby, Parnell, or out to the airport.
How do I see the exact hourly price?
Head to chauffeur.co.nz/book, choose ‘by the hour’, select your vehicle, and enter your pickup time and duration. The complete, GST-inclusive price will display before you confirm anything—no need to call or wait for a quote.
Is there a minimum number of hours I need to book?
Yes, most by-the-hour bookings have a minimum—typically three or four hours depending on the vehicle and time of day. This ensures the chauffeur and vehicle are reserved exclusively for you, whether you’re attending back-to-back meetings in the CBD or a long lunch in Waiheke after the ferry.
Can I extend my booking if I need more time?
If your plans run over, let your chauffeur know and they’ll do their best to accommodate you. Any extension is charged at the same hourly rate, and availability depends on whether another booking follows yours. It’s easier if you build in a buffer when you book initially.
Who will be driving, and what vehicle will I get?
You’ll have a chauffeur employed and trained by us—not a contractor who can decline the job—and the vehicle you book is the one that arrives. If you reserve the Mercedes E-Class, that’s what pulls up; if you need space for seven, the V-Class is guaranteed.
Fixed prices, NZD, GST-inclusive. No surge, ever. The vehicle you book is the vehicle that arrives, driven by a chauffeur we employ — trained by us and accountable to us, not an app contractor who can decline the job. The chauffeur — since 2002.
