The journey from Christchurch Airport to Merivale in a Mercedes E-Class is charged at a fixed rate that includes GST and never changes with demand or time of day. You'll see the exact price on our booking page before you confirm—no surprises, no meter running. The sedan comfortably seats up to three passengers with three pieces of luggage.
How long does the drive from Christchurch Airport to Merivale usually take?
The trip typically takes 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic, following Memorial Avenue through to Papanui Road. It's a straightforward route into one of Christchurch's most established inner-city suburbs.
Is the price the same if my flight lands late at night or early morning?
Yes. Our fixed pricing applies around the clock—there are no surcharges for late-night arrivals, early departures, or peak periods. The rate you see when you book at chauffeur.co.nz/book is what you pay.
Will I definitely get a Mercedes E-Class, not a different car?
The vehicle you reserve is the one that turns up. When you book the E-Class sedan, that's exactly what your chauffeur will arrive in—we don't substitute or downgrade based on availability.
Who will be driving—an app contractor or an employed chauffeur?
You'll be driven by a chauffeur employed and trained directly by us, not an independent contractor who can decline or reassign your booking. They're accountable to chauffeur.co.nz, which has operated since 2002.
Can I book this service for other New Zealand cities?
We serve Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington, and Queenstown. The same fixed-price, employed-chauffeur model applies in each city, though rates vary by route.
Fixed prices, NZD, GST-inclusive. No surge, ever. The vehicle you book is the vehicle that arrives, driven by a chauffeur we employ — trained by us and accountable to us, not an app contractor who can decline the job. The chauffeur — since 2002.
