Child seats are available for every airport transfer we operate in Christchurch, and you select the type you need during the booking process. We fit approved restraints into whichever Mercedes you’ve reserved—whether that’s the Sedan, the SUV, or the larger Sprinter—so your family arrives safely at Christchurch Airport or back home to Fendalton, Merivale, or further afield.
What types of child seats can I request?
You can book infant capsules, forward-facing child seats, or booster seats depending on your child’s age and size. Let us know what you need when you complete your booking, and we’ll have the correct restraint fitted and ready before your chauffeur collects you.
Do I pay extra for a child seat in the chauffeur?
No additional charge applies. The price you see before you confirm your booking on /book already covers the child seat—it’s a fixed, GST-inclusive fare with no surprises and no meter running while we install or adjust anything.
Can I bring my own child seat instead?
Yes, you’re welcome to. If you prefer to use your own restraint, simply let us know during booking so your chauffeur knows to expect it. There’s plenty of room in the Mercedes E-Class or V-Class to secure your own seat properly.
How do I know the seat will be fitted correctly?
Every chauffeur we send is employed and trained by us—not an app contractor—and that training covers the correct installation of child restraints. We’re accountable for every detail, so the seat will be checked and secure before you step into the vehicle.
Will a child seat fit if I’m travelling with luggage to the airport?
Yes. The Mercedes V-Class carries up to seven passengers and six bags, so a child seat and your family’s suitcases fit comfortably together. If you’re a smaller group in the E-Class Sedan, three bags and up to three passengers—including a child in a fitted seat—work without issue.
